Time to get started on the grocery list…

It’s been one of those days folks.  We attended an amazing rock concert last night….Hinder, Saving Abel, My Darkest Days, and Kopek.  All of which really rocked the house!  In turn, I didn’t get in until around 12:30am.  All worth it though, until….5:30am rolled around.  I knew I had a long day ahead of me.  At the end of the day, I looked back and realized it wasn’t such a bad day after all: twelve hours of work, flat tire on the side of the interstate at lunch, didn’t get exactly what I wanted for lunch because of the mishap of the tire, and realized I missed a daily post yesterday.  You know why all of that didn’t bother me???  Because, I had thoughts of Nutella recipes floating through my redhead.

As most of you know, I’m planning a World Nutella Day Party on February 5, 2011.  Sadly (or maybe happily), I have been in Nutella mode lately.  In fact, on my SmartOnes Peanut Butter Cup Dessert (a healthy Weight Watchers item) I added a dollop of Nutella (a semi-healthy item).  By the way, the Nutella jar I have is quite hard to navigate when scraping the nooks and crannies is necessary to survival.  Honestly, I am truly excited to introduce a majority of my friends to Nutella, and what better way than taking some of their favorite items and adding a twist of Nutella to them.

Here are a few of the items I am going to prepare (recipes and sources coming later)……

  • Nutella and Banana Brownies
  • Nutella and Caramel Hazlenut Brownies
  • Nutella Fortune Cookies
  • Creamy Nutella Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache
  • Surprise Nutella Sugar Cookies
  • Nutella Tiramisu
  • Nutella Bread Pudding
  • Nutella Pastry Cups

Granted, I will have some items that aren’t totally sweet, so as not to leave my guests in a mid-day Nutella coma.  I am super excited to prepare all of this and more!

What better item to celebrate than something that brings gooey smiles to faces all around the world?

Time to get started on the grocery list…

  1. Wow, what a list! I need to go invest in some Nutella, too, in order to celebrate.

The flat tire sucks, but I’m glad your day overall was fun! And yes, I was like, “OH, NO! Where’s her post?” the other day! It’s okay, though- I missed some posts on Craving Aletheia without realizing it. I think Holy Poached Eggs has had at least one update each day.
