I wish I could claim I made this amazingly delicious sauce. It has just the right amount of seasonings and goodness packed in it’s perfectly shaped bottle. There’s also a lot that can be said about a simple, clean label on a bottle. It allows you to think for yourself. It doesn’t scream, “Hey! You can only put me on wings!” or “Hey stupid! Don’t use me on anything but steak!” I mean goodness…do you need anything else to draw you to the purchase of this bottle other than the title??? Roasted Peach Whiskey Sauce does it for me! And, I was so glad that A Southern Season carried it!
Most of you know that I absolutely adore making roll-ups with croissant dough. This time, I used this sauce, Black Forest Deli Ham, and a handful of shredded Italian Cheeses. I kept it simple, but the sauce made it extravagant. The flavors were perfect together. I highly recommend you try this!
The Adult Ham Roll-Up
- 1 tube of croissant dough (preferably the sheet, and not the rolls)
- 12 slices of thin sliced ham (I used Black Forest Ham)
- 1 handful (don’t you love that measurement?) of shredded cheese of choice (I used shredded Italian cheeses)
- 1/4 cup of Stonewall Kitchen’s Roasted Peach Whiskey Sauce (preferably this one, but if you don’t have it, another spicy sweet sauce that you love)
Roll the dough out and spread your sauce out on it. If using the dough for the rolls, press perforations together to create one solid sheet. Look at those seasonings in the sauce! YUM!
Top with the slices of ham, and the handful of cheese.
Roll up, and bake for 20 minutes or until the outside of the roll is golden brown.
Slice on the diagonal, serve, and enjoy!
